"I've reviewed this teleradiology solution and I am very impressed
with it's sophisticated, and powerful set of features and functions.
The user interface design is exceptional! What's most impressive are
the system's tools for interactive dial-up and network communications
featuring shared cursors, white boards, multimedia exchange, etc. There
doesn't appear to be anything even remotely similar to it on the market
today. It is very possible this new, DICOM ready, system will establish
highly intuitive, real-time, interactive communications as a minimum
requirement for teleradiology.”

"We have fully tested the VAMS, ISSA imaging and Pharos
communication products, and found them to be one of the best PAC and
communication packages offered in the US market. The VAMS products make
a superior image product and the product ease of use, while being very
sophisticated is one of the best PAC offerings I have seen in the market.
I have just returned from the four biggest Radiology shows in the US,
and there are no products as complete, for the pricing offered by VAMS
and its distributors for the VAMS products. The VAMS products were tested
with our current 3 Xray scanners and our new to be released 24 bit scanner
and we found the VAMS software exceeded our expectations in all areas".
Quoted by Mr. Manning Phillips, VP of Vidar on 04-21-99
We have tested the VAMSTEC products with our ultrasound and CT scanners
for the last two years. The software exceeded our expectations and increased
the level of our performance considerably. It enabled us to communicate
with other departments and to exchange data an easy and efficient manner.
Image analysis and data-storage increased our diagnostic efficiency
and we are now able to provide our services in faster and more accurate
way. The number of examinations increased and costs were lowered. VAMSTEC
products became important and integral part of our daily routine.

established cooperation with different well known centers and experts
for teleconsultation or research. In our work we are using VAMSTEC software
for image storage, manipulation and for telemedical communication (ISSA
and Pharos).
Teleconsultation often manifolds speeds up diagnostic
procedure saving a lot of finances. In the following example using the
fastest way of transport (carrier) the consultation time would be 48
hours with an average cost of 150 DEM. The consultation in our case
took 30 minutes (effective transmission time 3 minutes) as it was operated
in the "store and forward" mode with the consultant having other obligations.
Case : Consultation Professor Kayser, Thoraxklinik, Heidelberg,

Male, 63 years old. Clinical suspicion of Malignant
mesothelioma. Pleural biopsy.
Our opinion: Reactive changes, with no obvious sing
of malignancy.
Reply: There is no signs of malignant cells. Morphology
is consistent with severe reactive chronic pleuritis. Rheumatoid changes
or tuberculosis should be considered in the first place. The consultants
opinion was immediately transmitted to the clinician. In our experience
teleconsultation can be a powerful tool for improving medical service
and also a time and money saving procedure.
